Clinical Aide - Patient Transportation
St. John's Regional Medical Center
We are currently seeking a reliable and empathetic Clinical Aide to join our healthcare team. As a Clinical Aide you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transfer of patients within our medical facility. Your responsibilities will include transporting patients to and from various departments while providing a supportive and compassionate experience.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients to different areas of the hospital for scheduled appointments, tests, and procedures.
- Ensure proper patient identification and verify destination with medical staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals, maintaining a caring and respectful demeanor.
- Maneuver and operate transport equipment, such as wheelchairs and stretchers, with safety and efficiency.
- Assist patients in and out of beds, chairs, and other transport devices as needed.
- Collaborate with nursing and other healthcare staff to prioritize patient transport needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of transport equipment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Hospital experience working with patient transportation preferred.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
