Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgery Scheduler, you will be a critical orchestrator of complex operational logistics, ensuring seamless alignment of resources, personnel, and services.
Every day, you will expertly manage intricate scheduling and resource allocation while meticulously entering and maintaining data. You will also produce schedules, and oversee template maintenance.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling systems. Your proactive approach and commitment to operational precision are paramount.
- Performs duties according to department and campus specific expectations as identified and assigned.
- Schedules procedures considering the availability of procedure room, equipment, staff and anesthesia care provider utilizing EMR scheduling software.
- Accurately schedules procedures, follows up on scheduling variations to optimize patient safety.
- Assists with surgical billing as needed.
- Coordinates with other departments as needed when multiple procedures are required.
- Manages incoming calls, electronic case requests, and other scheduling platforms.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate, upon hire
Preferred
- Medical Terminology experience or
- equivalent hospital experience
