The posted compensation range of $31.92 - $46.29 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Analyzing lab testing is pretty complex. We depend on the knowledge and skills of our supervisors to support the lab team. Our labs are vital to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. It is our lab supervisors that will partner with management to ensure that our patients receive the best possible experience. What you will do:
- Orchestrates the day to day operation assuring adequate staffing, evaluating and monitoring technical and pre-analytic performance.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, promoting, terminating, performance improvement plans, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Transports, collects, receives, accessions, prepares, and accurately tests biological specimens for analysis.
- Critically evaluates specimens and correlates all lab results to the clinical picture of each individual.
- Communicates and documents all testing and results in a timely manner to clinical personnel involved in patient care.
- Maintains and operates test systems and processes for optimal performance.
- Serves as General Supervisor, following all regulatory and safety goals.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in in biological or chemical science
- Minimum 5 years experience in a moderate to high complexity lab
- Preferred: 1 year supervisory experience
- ASCP certification in MT or MLS or CLS
