Responsibilities:
- Provides speech language evaluations, care planning, patient treatment and education according to the professional practice guidelines defined by state and professional sources.
- Works as a collaborative team member to develop a coordinated care plan that is accountable to achievement of established goals.
- Is knowledgable and completes all required documentation and billing requirements according to established local, state and federal law.
- Is responsible for the knowledge and application of measurable quality metrics associated with the area of active practice. Periodically attends team meetings to discuss/improve program evaluation/quality measures
- Takes responsibility to stay current with evidenced based practice guidelines, stays current with new research introduced and serves as a professional resource to other team members in the area of speech language practice in a medical setting.
This is a prn/casual position, with weekday and weekend shifts availble as needed. Min 2 weekend shifts per month and 2 holidays per year. (Time and a half pay on holidays.)
Qualifications
Required Education for Staff Job Levels | Minimum of a Masters from an accredited Speech Language Pathology School |
Required Licensure and Certifications | Active speech therapy license in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or speech therapy licensure compact. Basic life support is required upon hire. Must obtain CCC status from American Speech Language Assocation within 18 months of hire. |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | High level of competence in both written and verbal communication, conducts self in a professional manner at all times, works well in a team environment, strong knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations and professional standards relating to Speech Lanaguage Pathology |
PREFERRED Qualifications | Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCCs) completed |
