The posted compensation range of $19.68 - $27.06 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
We can’t express enough how important our lab staff is to our mission and calling! As a Specimen Management Coordinator you will work under the lab supervisor to assume responsibility for the smooth functioning of phlebotomy and lab central processing. As a team lead you are a resource to your coworkers, and assist in lab operations. Some of what you’ll do:
- Performs phlebotomy according to policy and procedures
- Monitors department workflow, assisting the supervisor and team to balance workload
- Responsible for troubleshooting and making appropriate decisions regarding specimen processing
- Assists with staff training under direction of the supervisor
- Assists supervisor in quality monitoring and improvement within the lab
- Other duties or tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience
At least 3 years phlebotomy experience
High School diploma / GED
Lab assistant experience preferred
