The posted compensation range of $16.06 - $22.69 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
Our patients breathe easy when it comes to respiratory care. See what we did there? Our Respiratory Care Techs play an important role in assisting our Respiratory Therapists. Assisting in the care of our patients to ensure they are getting the best care is a huge role in what you will do. This is a great start to what you will be doing in the future as you continue to make your way through the Respiratory program!
Every day you will assess respiratory status, implement treatment plans (oxygen, ventilation, airway management), and educate patients/families. You'll document interventions and collaborate with physicians and medical staff. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and equipment proficiency. Excellent communication for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration, plus a commitment to safety and continuous development, are essential.
- Stocking respiratory equipment and supplies in designated areas.
- Maintaining equipment by performing equipment safety checks.
- Cleaning and setting up equipment and placing equipment into designated areas.
- Delivering compressed gas to multiple locations within the hospital, including lobby level and surgery/OR.
- Communicating with staff and supervisors with concerns on equipment levels and par.
- Performs only modalities that fall under the scope of non-licensed personnel, which promotes a positive quality work environment in the provision of quality patient care.
Job Requirements
Required
- Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Care program, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
