Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are seeking an accomplished and highly strategic Vice President of Finance for our Central Region, a pivotal role responsible for orchestrating the financial health and strategic growth across a diverse portfolio of healthcare facilities. This is an exceptional opportunity to embed yourself in the operational core of our organization, working hand-in-hand with senior leadership to deliver exceptional financial results and support life-changing patient care.
As the Vice President of Finance for the Central Region, you will be a critical financial architect, providing insightful guidance and hands-on leadership across our expansive central operations. You will directly influence strategic decisions, drive operational efficiency, and ensure robust financial stewardship. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Collaborate closely with the Region CFO and Market CFOs to develop, implement, and monitor financial strategies that align with organizational goals and drive sustainable growth.
- Operational Excellence & Reporting: Lead the timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements, comprehensive month-end reporting, and insightful bridge plans, ensuring transparency and accountability across the region.
- Analytical Powerhouse: Spearhead regional analytics and research initiatives, working with and/or leading market and regional financial teams to provide critical insights that inform strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Partner with the Region CFO to ensure stringent compliance with all audit requirements, support critical due diligence processes, and flawlessly execute national team directives.
- Budgeting & Long-Range Planning: Drive the overall budgeting cycle and long-range financial planning, assisting the Region CFO in setting ambitious financial targets and meticulously tracking performance to ensure their achievement.
- Productivity & Performance Optimization: Support Region and Market CFOs in enforcing and optimizing labor productivity management goals, directly impacting operational efficiency and financial outcomes.
- Strategic Initiatives & Capital Projects: Play a crucial role in evaluating strategic initiatives and assessing capital projects within the markets, contributing to the long-term vision and investment direction of the region.
- Interim Leadership: Provide seamless financial leadership and operational continuity by stepping into the role of Region CFO during their absence.
- Team Development & Mentorship: Foster a culture of excellence, professional growth, and collaboration within the regional and market finance teams.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Healthcare Finance Expertise: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in hospital-related healthcare finance, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-specific financial complexities.
- Proven Leadership: At least 5 years of demonstrated management and leadership experience, successfully guiding and developing finance teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree: Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related advanced degree is highly desirable.
