We are seeking an experienced Perfusionist to join our dynamic cardiovascular team.


Responsibilities

As an experienced Perfusionist at CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center, you will play a crucial role in the cardiovascular surgery team. You will be responsible for operating extracorporeal circulation equipment during medical procedures, ensuring the safety and stability of patients throughout surgery. Your expertise will be vital in providing high-quality care and optimizing patient outcomes.


Qualifications

Perfusionist experience required.

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree and be a graduate of a Certified School of Perfusion Education.

Nebraska State Licensed as a Perfusionist. 

BLS required within 3 months of employment.

Must be proficient in all areas of Extra-Corporeal circulation.

Experience with extracorporeal equipment and associated devices including but not limited to autotransfusion machines, point of care lab analyzers, monitoring systems, electronic charting, in-line blood gas analyzers, heater coolers, intra-aortic balloon pumps and safety devices.

Experience with initiation, management, supervision and transport of ECMO and ECPR patients and associated equipment.
