Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our PRN Casual Occupational Therapist, you'll provide compassionate, patient-centered occupational therapy services that help individuals safely regain independence in the comfort of their own homes. Through comprehensive evaluations and personalized treatment plans, you'll empower patients to improve their daily function and quality of life.
Every day you will assess patients' functional abilities and home environments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions that support each patient's goals. You'll collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care throughout the patient's recovery journey.
To be successful in this role, you will combine strong clinical judgment with excellent communication and critical thinking skills. You'll be passionate about helping patients maximize their independence while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality outcomes, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Evaluate patients' functional abilities and home environments to develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders.
Provide occupational therapy interventions, patient and caregiver education, and ongoing reassessment using evidence-based practice guidelines.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop coordinated care plans that support patient goals and optimize outcomes.
Complete accurate clinical documentation, billing, and regulatory requirements in compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
Supervise occupational therapy assistants and support quality improvement initiatives while serving as a clinical resource for best practices in occupational therapy.
Job Requirements
Occupational Therapist license in NE
Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association

This is a PRN/Casual position. Hours can be in acute care or outpatient rehab at CUMC-Bergan Mercy Hospital.
