Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Market Cardiovascular Service LineAdministrator is responsible for leading and advancing service line initiatives in partnership with the Market Service Line Physician Executive, forming a collaborative dyad leadership model. Together, they provide administrative and clinical leadership across the full continuum of care for the specialty. This role drives the implementation of clinical quality standards and performance improvement efforts aimed at reducing patient harm, improving outcomes, minimizing unnecessary variation in cost and quality, and enhancing care coordination. The dyad also identifies strategic opportunities for service line growth, caregiver engagement, and improved patient experience.

The Market Cardiovascular Service LineAdministrator plays a vital role within the CommonSpirit Health clinical leadership team, serving as a key liaison with regional and market executive leaders. This position contributes significantly to shaping and executing market initiatives, including the transformation toward a unified clinical enterprise, alignment of service line operations, and the achievement of goals related to patient experience, employee engagement, and financial performance. The Administrator collaborates closely with national, region, market, and interdisciplinary teams to lead the development of service line processes and clinical standards.

  • Provides clear vision, strategic direction, and subject matter expertise to guide the development and advancement of the service line across the market.
  • Leads the identification of service line goals and oversees the creation and execution of implementation plans to drive measurable organizational improvements and outcomes.
  • Directs service rationalization efforts, including conducting gap analyses and leading resource planning to optimize service delivery in partnership with the market executives.
  • In collaboration with the National Service Line, leads the development and deployment of service line dashboards and performance scorecards to monitor key quality, safety, and operational metrics.
  • Builds and strengthens the infrastructure at the market level to effectively leverage data analytics for driving quality improvement, informing strategic decisions, and enhancing overall value and performance.
  • Collaborates with and receives support from key stakeholders across the organization, including Strategy, Operations, Nursing, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Innovation, Clinical Research, Pharmacy, Advocacy, Academics, and Compensation.
  • Leads the design and implementation of innovative care delivery models that improve access, quality, and efficiency across the service line.
  • Actively participates in service rationalization efforts across the market to minimize internal competition and optimize resource utilization.
  • Serves as a strategic partner to the system, region, and market strategy teams to drive service line growth, support long-range planning, and evaluate opportunities for joint ventures and partnerships.
  • Defines objectives and priorities for market initiatives by engaging senior leaders, service line executives, clinicians, and patients to establish program goals and performance metrics that enhance care across the continuum.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline required
  • Master's Degree or higher in healthcare discipline required
  • Ten years of progressive healthcare experience
  • Five years cardiovascular leadership experience
