At CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy our focus is patient-centered care. Our level I trauma center and academic medical center campus is designed to heal the body mind and spirit of every person in a more comfortable less stressful hospital environment. Our full range of medical services includes trauma services heart and vascular care emergency services surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.


Responsibilities

Manager Environmental Services

Location-Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy

  1. Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations.
  2. Assigns day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members.
  3. Allocate and direct staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and department needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
  4. Manage performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action.
  5. Ensures that all infection control, OSHA and Joint Commission (Environment of Care) standards are met. Monitors operational programs, assuring that buildings are maintained in a safe, clean, and operationally effective condition.
  6. Administers annual competency assessment process; develops, initiates, and maintains EVS departmental policies and procedures; documents staff training to ensure full program compliance.
  7. Communicates and coordinates department activities with those of other departments by attending and participating in facility and divisional committees such as peer groups, infection control, and other committees.
  8. Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience
