Job Summary and Responsibilities
We're looking for an exceptional Triage Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our vibrant Diabetes Education Clinic team! This isn't your average nursing role – we're seeking a proactive and empathetic professional who can expertly navigate a diverse range of patient needs, all while bringing a healthy dose of enthusiasm to their work.
Think of yourself as a diabetes superhero in scrubs! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will be to be the first point of contact for our amazing patients. You'll be the friendly voice and keen ear that identifies their immediate needs, guides them through their diabetes journey, and ensures they get the right care at the right time.
What You'll Be Doing:
- You'll be adept at gathering critical health information, listening with a discerning ear, and asking the right questions to understand patient concerns (both stated and unstated!).
- You'll skillfully assess symptoms, determine the urgency of care, and make sound clinical judgments to prioritize patient needs. Think of it as a low-stakes escape room, but instead of escaping, you're guiding patients to the best possible care!
- You'll be a fount of knowledge, providing clear and concise information, answering patient questions, and directing them to appropriate resources (think educational materials, support groups, and helpful apps!).
- You'll work hand-in-hand with our incredible interdisciplinary team, communicating effectively and ensuring everyone is on the same page for optimal patient outcomes.
- You'll maintain accurate and thorough electronic health records, ensuring every interaction is meticulously documented (because details matter!).
- You'll approach every patient interaction with compassion, understanding the unique challenges and emotions that come with managing diabetes.
