The posted compensation range of $17.89 - $24.60 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CHI Health would love to add a PRN Certified Medical Assistant / Medical Assistant (NOT Med Aide or CNA) to our Millard Family Clinic located off of 153rd & Q!
We are open to hiring ALL titles! Please apply if you are an EMT/Paramedic or have completed your Medical Assistant degree!
Clinic Hours: Monday-Sunday 8a-8p - We are flexible when it comes to scheduling! MUST be able to work at least 36hrs within a 6 week time-frame AND work the week day schedules as needed!
Responsibilities

Expectations:
- Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
- Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
- Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit.
- Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
- Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
- Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
- Ensures safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated.
- Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of medical assisting program
- Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent
