About the Fellowship:
Advance your career in healthcare administration with our immersive 18-month post-graduate program, meticulously designed to cultivate future leaders in physician enterprise management. Through focused rotational learning and hands-on project leadership, you'll gain diverse skills and broad understanding of the complexities involved in integrating, optimizing, and innovating within CommonSpirit Health's vast network of physician practices. This program offers distinctive tracks tailored to provide deep expertise and leadership development in specific regions or functional areas. Prepare to make a significant impact on clinical operations, strategy, and quality across our enterprise. This fellowship has an anticipated start date in July 2027 in the below locations

  • Central Region, Upper Central Region, Omaha NE
  • California Region, Central Coast Market, Santa Maria CA 
  • Physician Enterprise Quality, Remote

What You'll Do:

  • Meaningful Projects: Lead initiatives that support CommonSpirit Health's goals.
  • Executive Mentorship: Work closely with executive sponsors to guide your rotations.

  • Diverse Experiences:This role offers hands-on experience in optimizing physician clinic operations, implementing value-based care initiatives, enhancing patient engagement through digital solutions, and driving overall network performance. The fellow will contribute to improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and ensuring a high-quality healthcare experience.The following locations over the listed specific focuses:
    • Central Region, Upper Central Region, Omaha NE: This Physician Enterprise fellowship will specifically focus on successfully integrating into physician enterprise leadership and operational teams to advance strategic projects and foster academic relationships, with a successful candidate actively contributing to senior leadership discussions, driving key projects across various pillars (e.g., standardization, technology), and effectively navigating the relationship between academics and medical group operations.
    • California Region, Central Coast Market, Santa Maria CA: This Physician Enterprise fellowship will specifically focus on cultivating next-generation PE leaders and enhancing strategic execution across California's diverse Physician Enterprise footprint, requiring a successful fellow to demonstrate leadership in strategic project management, deliver insightful operational analyses, and effectively engage with leaders to address market-specific imperatives and complex healthcare dynamics.
    • Physician Enterprise Quality, Remote: This Physician Enterprise fellowship will specifically focus on driving impactful quality and safety initiatives and developing clinical standards across the enterprise, with a successful fellow actively leading physician councils, strategically influencing executive leaders, and consistently presenting measurable contributions that elevate system-wide clinical standards and visibility.

Job Requirements

What You'll Need:

Master’s Degree in either:

  • Master of Health Administration (MHA)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Public Health (MPH)
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
  • Or equivalent degree from an accredited graduate program

Graduation Status: Completion of all on-campus requirements and eligibility to graduate upon fellowship completion
Experience: Less than 5 years of professional experience.
Graduation Date: Must have graduated with an applicable Master’s Degree between Spring 2024 and Spring 2028
Commitment: A strong interest in healthcare management and leadership.
Passion: A passion for CommonSpirit Health's mission and a commitment to "humankindness."
