The posted compensation range of $15.71 - $22.19 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Clinic Receptionist, you will be the welcoming heart of our clinic, creating a comforting and efficient environment for every patient journey. Every day, you will expertly manage patient reception, coordinate essential administrative tasks, leverage technology for seamless operations, and thoughtfully guide diverse patient populations, ensuring they feel at ease and understand their care instructions.

What you'll do..
- Greets and registers patients promptly, verifying patient’s address, date of birth and insurance information, and enters this information into the computer according to standard operating procedures.
- Charge entry and ensuring accurate information for proper billing.
- Maintenance of health record and release of information.
- Lead in researching and directing patients to community resources that may be helpful to patients.
- Makes appointments or transfers calls promptly to others. Takes messages as needed.
- Schedules, cancels, or reschedules appointments for patients according to guidelines.
- Additional duties and responsibilites included in formal job description.
Job Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Two years (2) of experience in a health care setting involving customer service; knowledge of patient admissions and financial counseling, billing and collections, and/or coordination of services related to insurance verification and patient information; Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Strong computer skills required.
- A combination of relevant education and/or experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EMR, MediTech, Google Workspace, preferred.
CHI Oakes Hospital, is a 20-bed critical access hospital that provides various inpatient and outpatient services to approximately 14,000 people in southeastern North Dakota. It is also a 24-Hour Emergency Level V Trauma Center. The hospital building was newly-constructed in 2007, replacing a 50-year old building, and in 2010, Oakes Community Clinic was opened within the hospital building.
