The posted compensation range of $25.05 - $31.47 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. UNIT SECRETARY (8HR)
Northridge Hospital Medical Center, a Dignity Health member
NHMC is seeking a Unit Secretary that will provide a variety of task that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity. Under the direct supervision of the licensed personnel, coordinates clerical, support and receptionist functions in accordance with hospital policy and Intensive Care Services. The Unit Secretary will transcribe, transmit and place physician orders to appropriate area under the direction of the RN; will arrange for the efficient and timely admissions of all patients. Responsible for completion of patient discharges and transfers via hospital computer system. Maintains an organized and professional work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of medical clerical duties in an acute care environment required.
- Completion of an accredited/approved medical terminology course preferred.
- Proficient with AS400/Cerner preferred.
- Current AHA BLS card required.
- LA City Fire Card required within 90 days of hire.
This position is represented by the SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
