Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you an experienced sterile processing professional ready to take on a leadership role in ensuring pristine medical instrumentation? We're actively searching for a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Sterile Processing Tech II to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal position, you'll be instrumental in safeguarding patient health by meticulously preparing and maintaining all essential equipment and instruments used throughout our facility.

  • Lead with expertise: Apply your comprehensive knowledge of advanced instrument processing techniques.
  • Ensure flawless readiness: Take ownership of cleaning, assembly, and sterilization for a wide range of critical equipment.
  • Operate and maintain with skill: Be the go-to expert for the proper function and care of specialized instruments and machinery.
  • Drive patient safety: Directly contribute to the highest standards of care through meticulous attention to detail.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.


Job Requirements
  • High School / GED Graduate required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience with surgical instrumentation required.
  • Minimum two years prior sterile processing or surgical tech experience required. 
  • Completion of a Sterile Processing Program or surgical tech program required.
  • Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required.
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor (CSPDS) required. 
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech (CSPDT-CBSPD) required. 
  • Current AHA BLS card required
  • Fire Card (within 90 days of hire) required.

Preferred: 

  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
