Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiology Technologist II specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations, maintaining equipment, and providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of MRI examinations according to physician orders, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare patients for examinations, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate and maintain MRI equipment, performing quality control checks and troubleshooting minor technical issues.
- Analyze images for quality and technical accuracy, ensuring optimal diagnostic results.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- May be required to assist with other imaging modalities as needed.
Qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 1 - 2 years experience in a hospital and radiology department.
- Must have satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA-approved school or a BS or AA degree in Radiological Technology in an AMA-approved school.
- Cross-training in CT MRI Nuclear Medicine and Mammography is required.
- License is required as issued by ARRT (national) required.
- CRT (state) required.
- Fluoroscopy certification.
- Certification in one modality is required.
- Must maintain a Fire Safety card. (must obtain within 90 days by start date.)
