The posted compensation range of $52.04 - $77.42 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical well-being so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.
Every day, you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
- Appropriately assesses patients of varying diagnoses and disorders requiring Physical Therapy according to established guidelines. Age range treated includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Staff will be assigned only to age ranges for which they meet the education, experience, and training.
- Patients 0-21 years old with CCS coverage are to be treated by CCS paneled therapists or overseen by a CCS paneled therapist.
- Establishes functional goals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team based on the patient's rehabilitation potential.
- Develops, implements & modifies treatment plan in collaboration with interdisciplinary team to achieve goals. Utilizes evidence-based practice as available. Incorporates patient/family/Care Partner needs, interests/ goals in the development and execution of the treatment plan.
- Provides patient/family/Care Partner/caregiver education, initiating as soon as feasible after admission. Works to ensure transfer of knowledge using a variety of techniques (i.e., teach back, demonstration, video, written handouts).
- Establishes and follows patient precautions. Observes patients' responses to treatment and reports unusual occurrences. Follows hand-off guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher degree required.
- New applicants must present documentation of continuing education or experience required.
- CA Physical Therapist (CA PTL) required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) required.
- Fire Safety (within 90 Days from start date) required.
Preferred
- Master's in Physical Therapy or higher degree
