Northridge Hospital Medical Center seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Nutrition Assistant 1 to join our Dietary team. This role is essential in providing high-quality nutritional care to our patients, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation, including portioning, plating, and serving food.
- Follow established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with food inventory and ordering.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met.
- Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and other dietary staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with special dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, and therapeutic diets.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fire Safety card required within 90 days of hire.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
