The posted compensation range of $49.57 - $73.73 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The Laboratory Tech Coordinator will assist the supervisor and work independently on Microbiology Quality Assurance instrument and procedure validations, and day-to-day workflow and efficiencies. We are a full-service regional microbiology lab with routine molecular, rapid cultures, AFB, and Fungus specialties as well. Experience in Microbiology is required.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical resource for all testing procedures, instrumentation, and methodologies within the designated laboratory area.
- Optimize workflow and instrument utilization to maximize efficiency and turnaround times.
- Participate in laboratory audits and inspections.
- Perform root cause analysis for identified issues and implement corrective actions.
- Generate reports on quality metrics, instrument performance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively with laboratory management, medical directors, and other laboratory departments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a chemical or biological science as defined by CLIA. required.
- 2 years of clinical lab experience in the designated lab area/speciality required.
- CA Clinical Laboratory Science License (CLS License) required
Preferred:
- Clinical Laboratory departments (AU750000):
- MT or CLS or MLS certification, ASCP or equivalent (per requirement sheet)
