Job Summary and Responsibilities

Responsibilities: :

  • Navigated the unique demands of an acute care environment for at least 6 months, demonstrating your ability to perform under pressure and adapt quickly.
  • Approach every specimen, every draw, and every task with meticulous attention to detail, understanding the critical impact of your work.
  • collaborate, easily integrating with clinical staff and laboratory colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Job Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED required. 
  • Six (6) months of laboratory clerical and/or phlebotomy experience in an acute care facility preferred. 
  • California Phlebotomy Technician License (CPT) required. 
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification (AHA BLS) is required.
  • Fire Safety Card must be obtained within 90 days of hire date required.
