Job Summary and Responsibilities
Join our dynamic team at Dignity Health Medical Foundation as a Field Service Specialist II in Imaging. As a Field Service Specialist II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and maintenance of medical equipment, contributing to the overall quality of patient care.
- Performs repair and maintenance on intermediate imaging equipment, such as Digital Radiography units, basic CT, CT Sim, basic oncology, and Vascular/Specials systems more than 60% of the time.
- Utilizes training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency for the same equipment.
- Employee functions as a leader in the Clinical Engineering department, providing oversight and assistance to FSS for the efficient and cost-effective repair and maintenance of imaging equipment.
- Effectively handles all service emergencies and necessary communications with Vendor, Department, and Clinical Engineering Account Manager.
- Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of Diagnostic Imaging and Biomedical equipment.
- Is capable of providing coverage and support for the Account Manager during the manager’s absence.
- May also provide repair and maintenance of general biomedical equipment as secondary responsibility or as assigned.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience servicing medical imaging equipment such as General X-Ray (Rad, including but not limited to Rad Rooms, Portables, and C-Arms)
- Must have the ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of imaging equipment.
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and or Mechanical Engineering, or related field required or military equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CRES preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
