Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Echo Tech to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate should possess relevant certifications, demonstrate proficiency in utilizing cardiovascular equipment, and have a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with medical professionals are essential. Join us in providing outstanding cardiovascular care to our patients.
Responsibilities
- The Cardiovascular Technologist will play a crucial role in assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions
- Perform a variety of cardiovascular tests and procedures, including electrocardiograms (ECGs), stress tests, and echocardiograms
- Set up and operate diagnostic equipment to monitor and record cardiac and vascular activities of patients
- Collaborate with physicians to obtain and interpret cardiovascular test results
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results
- Monitor and assess patients for any adverse reactions during cardiovascular testing
Qualifications
- Minimum two year degree or equivalent in physiology, anatomy, physics, mathematics and electronics required.
- Must have minimum one year experience performing all cardiac and/or vascular procedures and Cardiac Cath Lab monitoring capabilities.
- Graduate from an accredited school of Cardiopulmonary Technology required (provide documentation)
- ARDMS
- AHA BLS
- Fire Safety Card required. (must obtain within 90 days of start date)
