Responsibilities

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Boiler Operator/Stationary Engineer Lic to join our team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our boiler room, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and safety standards.

  • Operate and maintain high-pressure boilers, pumps, and other related equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust boiler operations to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of boiler operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and codes.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must have a L.A. City Steam Engineer license of 500 H.P. or greater.
  • Minimum of two (2) years plant operations experience and one (1) year in a healthcare setting.
  • Operate steam boilers, chillers and auxiliary plant equipment.
  • Fire Safety card required within 90 days of employment.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
