The posted compensation range of $15.15 - $20.84 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The Medical Records Technician I/ Runner works under the general supervision of the medical records team leader or clinic supervisor; retrieves charts from modules and transcription and transports them to the medical records department; delivers mail to each department; delivers and picks up all phone calls and charts needed and returns them to files for processing; is responsible for keeping track of transcription crate listings for chart locations; performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Assists with all request made in medical record department per director request if other employees need assistance or physician and nursing staff request assistance.
- Repairs charts when needed.
- Handles patient medical records in confidential mannerism.
- Handles patient telephone calls and requests in confidential mannerism.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent.
Experience: Must be able to work under stress and be a team worker; must be highly motivated and have good communication and organizational skills; ability to work without close supervision.
