The posted compensation range of $17.24 - $24.35 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
Under the supervision and direction of a licensed health care practitioner, the EMT participates in delivery of patient care that promotes the well-being and safety of all patients and staff.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
2. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by completing intake duties such as obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit.
3. Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
4. Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
5. Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
6. Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
7. Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
8. Ensures safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated.
9. Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State of Nebraska-approved EMT training program graduate.
Required Licensure and Certifications
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license issued from State of Nebraska.
- Active status on Nebraska Medication Aide Registry within 90 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
