Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Polysom Tech, you will perform diagnostic sleep procedures per physician orders and established protocols.
Every day you will set up the lab, prepare patients, conduct and evaluate polysomnograms, score sleep staging, assist with data tabulation, and monitor/adjust equipment.
To be successful, you will possess thorough knowledge of sleep monitoring equipment, maintain skills through education, and participate in quality assurance under Sleep Lab Manager supervision, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.
- Complies with safety and emergency procedures.
- Complies with Hospital/Department/Unit policies.
- Documents activities consistent with Hospital/Department/Unit Guidelines.
- Performs polysomnographic recordings.
- Provides care/services based on identified needs.
- Uses required equipment for providing care/services.

Required
- High School GED General Studies, upon hire or
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire and
- Graduate of an accredited polysomnographer program., upon hire
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, upon hire or
- Certified Polysomnograph Technologist, upon hire or
- Respiratory Care Practitioner: KY, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
