The posted compensation range of $53.71 - $62.52 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.
Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

- Monitors medical condition of patients and reports changes to appropriate personnel.
- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts patient care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitors environmental control systems and patients on continuous ventilation, and reports abnormal diagnostic data to physician and/or RN as appropriate.
- Demonstrates ability to differentiate and utilize appropriate therapy environments for age specific groups such as; neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, young adult, mid-life adult, and geriatric.
- Conducts pulmonary screening tests and arterial blood gas monitoring for patients as ordered by physician.
- Writes initial patient assessment and assesses patient's conditions and develops individualized care plans for assigned patients.
Required
- Other Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Care Practitioner program. and RCP experience in an acute care facility., upon hire
- Respiratory Care Practitioner: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and (Must be through the American Heart Association)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, upon hire
