Responsibilities
A Hospital Registrar is responsible for managing the patient registration process, ensuring accurate and efficient collection of personal, insurance, and medical information upon admission. This role involves greeting patients, verifying their details, entering data into the hospital’s information systems, and ensuring all necessary documents are completed and signed. The Registrar also communicates with insurance providers, coordinates with other departments for smooth patient flow, and assists in resolving billing inquiries. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.
- Interviews customers for data retrieval
Obtains moderately complex financial information regarding patients from various sources to obtain payment plan agreements and Medicare coverage
- Conveys an image of dignity and trustworthiness

Qualifications
Minimum:
- High School Diploma/GED or Official Transcripts
- American Heart Association-issued BLS card
- (6) Months of Customer Service experience in finance, a physician's office, or clini, insurance, and banking
Preferred:
- (1) year relevant experience in a hospital environment
