Responsibilities
Leads nursing and operational services for a healthcare organization. Provides direction for the operation of assigned departments and managers. Works with management, clinical, and administrative functions in ongoing efforts to develop strategies and goals to improve nursing and operational services. Responsible for the 24-hour management of multiple departments. This position may require direct patient care duties and other projects as assigned.
- Implements recommended policies and procedures related to the delivery of safe and efficient quality Patient care.
- Participates within the Department of Nursing Services in establishing the standards of patient care, policies, and objectives of unit(s); communicates such standards, policies, and objectives to unit(s) staff, patients, family, and community.
- Works with management, clinical, and administrative functions in ongoing efforts to develop strategies and goals to improve hospital services.
- Manages the peBachelors Of
Nursingrformance of assigned departments and managers ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies such as TJC, Health Departments and OSHA.
- Monitors patient outcomes and quality and effectiveness of patient care and identifies opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Of Nursing or Bachelors BS, BA
- MSN, MBA, MHA within 24 months of hire
- 4-6 years of nursing experience
- 1-3 years of nursing Leadership experience
- Registered Nurse: AZ (RN:AZ) or Compact Licensure
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association required
