Responsibilities
As an integral member of Mercy Medical Center, the Community Health Data Analyst collects, cleans, analyzes and interprets large datasets. The analyst will identify patterns, gaps, and trends and is responsible for presenting findings through visualizations and reports. The candidate will contribute to and collaborate with different departments to evaluate new approaches and develop efficient processes of tracking and submitting data to support programmatic funding and other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for Community Health program data collection, organization and input into electronic platform for community benefit reporting
- Provide data support for Community Health programs and initiatives in alignment with the Community Health Needs Assessment
- Responsible for accurate information collection and registration completion in line with current policy and procedures, guidelines and training.
- Collects and enters required data into the system with emphasis on accuracy of demographic and financial information to ensure appropriate reimbursement or funding.
- Carefully reviews all information entered in on accounts. Verifies all information at time of registration; corrects any errors identified.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Associate's degree
- Experience working with reporting and data analysis systems.
- Strong analytical and communication skills required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a hospital, community health organization or non-profit, physician office setting or healthcare company.
Preferred:
- Bacherlos's degree
- Grant management experience
