Dignity Health Medical Group – Merced a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation is a multi-specialty clinic conveniently located on Mercy Avenue in Merced. Along with our local affiliated Dignity Health hospital (Mercy Medical Center – Merced) we offer an integrated care delivery system that provides high quality compassionate care in family medicine internal medicine OB/GYN pediatrics urology neurology and general surgery.


Responsibilities

As an Audiologist with the Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients facing hearing challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for an Audiologist who:

Success in this role means you:
- Will identify, evaluate, habilitate/rehabilitate individuals with either peripheral or central auditory impairments, and conduct vestibular/balance testing
- Develop and oversee hearing screening programs to detect individuals with hearing loss of all ages. Your patient population will generally be older adults, with the occasional pediatric referrals
- Have the opportunity to network and meet with the local regional providers to build relationships and ensure they are aware of the services this clinic and role provide to the community
- Perform speech or language screening, or other screening measures, for the purpose of initial identification and referral of persons with other communication disorders
- Administer and interpret behavioral and electrophysiologic measures of the peripheral and central auditory systems
- Administer and interpret clinical and electrophysiologic tests of equilibrium by using standardized testing procedures and appropriately calibrated instrumentation
- Evaluate and fit amplification devices ,including assistive listening devices
- Determine the appropriateness of amplification systems for persons with hearing impairments, evaluates benefits, and provides counseling and training regarding their use
- Design, implement and coordinate industrial and community hearing conservation programs
- Administer and interpret electrophysiological measurements of neural function


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:


- 3-5 years of experience with a variety/specific populations.
- Master's degree.
- Posses a valid California Audiology license, issued by the Speech Pathology and Audiology board (SPAB) and a valid California Hearing Aid Dispensers. National board certification is strongly desired by the American Board of Audiology.
- Skills/Knowledge:
1. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manager interactions with difficult people.
2. Familiarity with NOAH (platform for hearing aid programming and fitting) and proprietary hearing aid fitting software.
3. Familiarity with peer-reviewed and best practice outcome measures.
4. Knowledge of CPT & ICD-9 coding procedures.
5. Knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications:


- AuD or PhD degree preferred.
