Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Professional position providing specialization in radiographic and fluoroscopic examination within the cardiac catheterization lab. Scrubbing into procedures and assisting Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist performing intervention and diagnostic studies.

- The Radiologic Technologist sets up and operates specialized equipment during the procedures including but not limited to: contrast injection systems and hemodynamic support devices such as IABP and IMPELLA.
- The Radiologic Technologist assists physicians in the performance of Cardiovascular Invasive Lab procedures by: Operating fluoroscopy equipment during the procedure in order to visualize the cardiovascular system. Set up and maintaining sterile fields and “scrubbing” into the case as a first assist in handling of catheters, wires, inflators and other various devices.
- The Radiologic Technologist assists physicians in the performance of invasive procedures including but not limited to: intra-cardiac defibrillators and pacemakers, patient preparation, application of sterile drapes, handling sterile instruments and sutures to the physician during the procedure and application of hemostatic devices.
- Adheres to performance, attendance, and professional expectations set forth by CHI St. Luke’s Health-Memorial.
- Proficient computer skill-McKesson Cardiology a plus.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge of developing and maintaining required equipment and supplies for procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Minimal travel required when scheduled to work in the off campus lab. Occasional travel may be required for training or service line purposes.
