Responsibilities
Position Summary:
As the Manager Labor and Delivery services at California Hospital Medical Center you will be responsible for L&D services including birth suites and OR.  You will direct the provision of nursing care while maintaining high standards of patient care, is a very fast paced environment. Each year, we deliver close to 3,000 babies and admit over 500 to our 26-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

With a new Patient Tower opening, this is a very exciting time for you to join us!

California Hospital is building a new patient tower and investing in the future of healthcare in our community. Together, with your help, we can ensure that we become the hospital that our city needs us to be.

This project will modernize our maternity services with a complete redesign of our labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum, and Neonatal Intensive Care units. By providing a more spacious, nurturing environment that balances leading-edge medicine with family-centered care, we can give our youngest patients the very best start in life and ensure access to our full continuum of care, extending far beyond the walls of our hospital.

The new Patient Tower will include 28 private postpartum rooms, private NICU rooms, 3 state of the art surgery suites, pregnancy care center with private triage, antepartum, and birthing rooms, specialty water birthing suite, waiting room with children's play area, and private spaces to meet and consult with families.


Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and one (1) year of leadership experience required.
Required Licensure: 
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required,
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
