Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Facilities Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment that supports our operational excellence. You will directly contribute to the optimal functioning of our infrastructure and systems.

Every day you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of our facilities, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. You will be expected to conduct regular inspections, manage vendor relationships, coordinate projects, and respond to facility-related issues, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and building codes.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong problem-solving skills, a comprehensive understanding of building systems and infrastructure, and proven experience in facilities management or engineering.

  • Inspects equipment for proper operation; Tests gauges, meters and safety devices; Takes meter, temperature and pressure readings according to established schedules
  • Implements and conduct monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual preventive maintenance of all the equipment and devices as scheduled by computer generated maintenance program.
  • Conducts corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment as assigned.
  • Responds to fire alarms or calls that involves life safety support equipment and be able to act appropriately with a minimum delay.
  • Performs teardown, repair and service of equipment according to schedule or supervisors instructions.
  • Responds to failures or malfunctions of pneumatic tube systems.
Job Requirements

Required

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • At least 10 years experience working in Hospital as maintenance engineer or equivalent training.
  • Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Preferred

  • HVAC License: CA
