Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Health Information Clerk, you will be the backbone of our electronic medical records, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for all patient ages, from infancy through later life.
Every day, you will meticulously file and scan medical records into our EMR, ensuring accuracy and readiness, handle medical information requests (in and out) with strict adherence to HIPAA and policy, maintain efficient information flow, managing charts, faxes, and mail.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills, a customer-centric approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive ability to manage a fast-paced environment while upholding the highest standards of confidentiality and efficiency.
- Indexes all documents to the appropriate patient folder
- Ensures each document is assigned the appropriate document name
- Meets productivity and quality standards
- Indexes each discharged patient's record for incomplete or missing items
- Meets productivity and quality standards as noted below: ER Records60/hr480/8 hr shift
- Assists ROI, QA and Physician Support functions
Required
- High School Graduate or GED
- Previous medical record department experience
- Fire Safety, within 90 days of hire
