Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Special Procedure Technologist, you will be a vital clinical professional, applying specialized X-ray energy for patient diagnosis or treatment.
Every day, you'll meticulously perform complex radiological procedures and techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. You'll ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning, operating advanced equipment with precision and upholding imaging standards.
To be successful, you'll combine strong technical expertise with exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
- Meets annual competency requirement prior to evaluation date.
- Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by assisting nursing staff to access paint condition.
- Responsible for patients in the adult critical care population with an age range of 14 years and older receiving care in the Cath Lab.
- Coordinates plan of care with other members of the cath team to achieve quality patient care.
- Demonstrates accurate written and verbal documentation of patient status information.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate or GED
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiology technology training in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements for registry by ARRT.
- Three years experience in a Catheterization Laboratory to include radiation safety, proper imaging technique for coronary procedures,aseptic technique, scrub position.
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
- Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA
- AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Fire Safety, within 90 Days
Preferred
- Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, peripheral vascular and electrophysiology studies highly desirable.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
