The posted compensation range of $36.00 - $43.62 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Supervisor, Healthy Families, you will guide and support a team dedicated to serving high-risk families in alignment with Families in Good Health (FiGH) and the Healthy Families America (HFA) philosophy. You will work closely with the HFA Program Manager to shape program structure, refine policies, and implement effective training initiatives.
Every day, you will model empathy in your interactions with staff, oversee Family Support Specialists in delivering client-centered services, and consult on complex clinical issues. You will collaborate with stakeholders, including regional Welcome Baby hospitals, to develop a continuum of care and ensure that staff effectively identify client strengths, address challenges, and connect families with community resources.
In this role, you will also manage administrative and reflective supervision, contributing to hiring decisions, tracking staff progress, and guiding improvements. Adhering to HFA protocols, maintaining strong relationships, and fostering an empathetic approach will help improve outcomes for the diverse and high-risk families your team serves.
- Supervise HFA Family Support Specialist, including providing weekly individualized supervision; tracking hours and schedules of employees, evaluating employees performance and completing employee evaluations; providing support, mentoring and constructive feedback to help each HFA Family Support Specialist grow professionally; and overseeing documentation and services provided by employees. Provide recommendations for hiring and termination of program staff, as appropriate.
- Work closely with the HFA Program Manager in implementing program structure, guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures, and documentation for the HFA Program
- Work with the HFA Program Manager in interviewing and hiring program staff.
- Ensure the quality of the program through the following: (1) Overseeing services provided to clients through periodic shadowing of staff on home visits; and (2) Conducting regular chart reviews to ensure the accurate collection of data and completion of all client documentation in a timely and organized manner.
- Work closely with the HFA Program Manager to monitor progress in achieving program goals and objectives.
- Track client enrollment and forecast upcoming visits in order to assign cases and monitor visits for each HFA Family Support Specialist in a timely, fair and equitable manner.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors in related fields with 3 years of relevant experience, or less than a bachelor’s degree but with commensurate HFA experience required
- Masters in human services or fields related to working with children and families.
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience
- Experience with family services that embraces the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision.
- Experience supporting culturally diverse communities/families and with home visiting.
- Strong background in early childhood prevention services.
- Driver's License: CA and Auto Insurance
