Responsibilities
Position Summary:

As the Manager you will maintain overall responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of the Healthy Families America (HFA) Program in a manner that supports the mission of Families in Good Health (FiGH) and the philosophy of the HFA Program. You will be the primary liaison with the funder, First 5 LA, and other (community) partners integral to the HFA Program. You will also be the primary liaison with the National HFA Program and have overall responsibility for ensuring program fidelity to the HFA Model. 

In this role you will work closely with the Clinical Supervisor to develop and assess documentation, training, procedures and policies, and overall structure of the HFA Program. In addition to monitoring progress in achieving program goals and objectives, you will also ensure that all contracts
and fiscal administration activities are completed. You will work with First 5 LA and the St. Mary Medical Center Information Technology team to identify data system programs and barriers to accurate program evaluation, develop data quality assessment procedures to review data validity, and develop and implement quality assurance tools.

You will work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team as well as FiGH management team. You will interview and hire program staff, assess ongoing needs for staff development and training, and facilitate relevant activities as appropriate. You will develop relationships with key contacts in the St. Mary Medical Center Welcome Baby Program to ensure appropriate enrollment of clients into the HFA Program, and participate in relevant workshops and conference opportunities in order to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills pertinent to the implementation of the HFA Program.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. required.
  • Minimum of three years experience required in: leadership and direct supervision; program development, monitoring and evaluation; personnel management and staff development; partner and community relations; and policy and advocacy.
Required Training: 
  • Knowledge of family health care and issues affecting the delivery of health care to families required.
