The posted compensation range of $33.26 - $41.54 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Assists with admission and preparation of patients for endoscopy procedures; assists physicians with procedures and documents appropriately; processes equipment according to guidelines; assists with orientation of students and new staff. This person may also assist with collating departmental statistics, ordering supplies. Responsibilities include:
- Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.
- Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.
- Role models clinical base of practice within specialty or assigned areas, including patient advocacy and ethical conduct
- Collaborates with staff in assessing, establishing priorities and identifying realistic outcomes for patient population served.
- Demonstrates expert clinical nursing practice through direct care activities serving as a role model for staff and maintaining clinical competence.
- Identifies actual and potentially unsafe care practices and initiates actions as appropriate to prevent and/or correct,and report in a timely manner.
- Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to all of the patients served within his/her clinical areas, (i.e., neonates, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics).
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years Med/Surg experience and 1 year GI/ Endoscopy experience.
- Basic Life Support - BLS
