Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under RN direction.
Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being.

- Demonstrates ability to assess/interpret age-specific data.
- Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.
- Maintains a safe patient environment: a. puts side rails up b. ensures patient floor is clean/dry prior to patient ambulation c. maintains a neat and orderly patient environment d. reports safety concerns to licensed nurse e. monitors visitors/visitor control f. ensures that call light is within patient's reach g. ensures that basic necessities are within patients reach.
- Contributes to patient safety: a. fall risk (side rails, wheelchair brakes, use of patient walker/cane, patient footwear) b. Choking risk (listens for and responds to sounds of choking. c. reports safety concerns to licensed nurse d. proper use of restraints.
- Demonstrates self safety.
- Performs the 8 behaviors of hourly rounding and documents on the log sheet.
Job Requirements
Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant: CA
- AHA Basic Life Support - CPR
Preferred
- High School Graduate or GED
- Experience in medically related field
