Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
The Manager is responsible for the overall operational success of the Wound Care Program. The Manager develops and administers wound care initiatives in accordance with national standards, regulatory requirements, and administrative policies and procedures. The Manager is responsible for maintaining internal controls that assure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and customer satisfaction in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of CHI Saint Joseph Health. The effective leader would create a culture of service with continuous performance improvement and a focus on inter and intradepartmental collaboration.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
- Successfully implements and manages Wound Care Program operations in conjunction with current national standards, protocols, guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Responsible for working with appropriate Hospital personnel to ensure adequate space, equipment, supplies, and services for the Wound Care Program.
- Accessing and analyzing existing data and developing monthly operational reports in order to make recommendations on appropriate actions to ensure continued success of the Program.
- Responsible for Wound Care Program compliance with all applicable regulatory and governmental agencies, conducting and documenting educational in-services/competencies, and conducting regularly scheduled Wound Care Center staff meetings to insure open communications and enhance operational efficiencies.
- Responsible for recruitment, hiring, and managing personnel.
- Monitors and ensures quality management by assuring documentation is completed in the data base within a timely manner, treatment completions and heal rates are within appropriate NHC measures, timely review of clinical charts , and reports on regularly scheduled quality management parameters with medical and clinical staff.
- Responsible for planning, developing, and monitoring departmental budgets, maintains the charge master, ensures timely and accurate charge entry, performs audits of patient accounts for accuracy, and works closely with finance to review performance and any new service opportunities.
- Conducts practice visits with marketing liaison and works with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure success of high quality Wound Care services in both in-patient and out-patient environments

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience | Bachelor's Degree and minimum 3 years leadership experience OR minimum 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master's Degree and no experience |
Required Licensure and Certifications | RN:KY; BLS-CPR |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training | Microsoft office, Meditech, Hyperbaric Chamber Operation, & Wound Care Software for EMR |
