The posted compensation range of $15.00 - $20.33 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The Surgery Scheduler Coodinator is responsible for scheduling the surgical procedures accurately and efficiently using the computer network and consistent with block schedule guidelines
Responsibilities
Effectively coordinates activities in support of departmental operations
Consistently seeks ways to improve work process and methods to increase effectiveness and efficiency in the department.
Reports problems, potential problems, or areas of concern to the department manager.
Performs other clerical duties as may be assigned by management
Collects all Surgical information correctly and accurately.
Maintains information and documentation in support of departmental operations
Has the ability to find scheduling options for the physician and patients needs
Updates patient demographics including insurance information at the time the appointment is made.
Does not release restricted information that compromises patient and staff confidentiality
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED , Metropolitan test or equivalent
Prefer one to two years of hospital (medical field) experience with knowledge of medical and surgical terminology.
Ability to speak concisely and clearly and communicate effectively with the public and co-workers.
