The posted compensation range of $18.74 - $25.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
- Responsible to maintain and administer established department operational systems, provide for the operational needs of staff, and to contribute to the development of new operational systems as an active member of the management team.
- Directs storeroom clerk and cooks and provides for the operational needs of these positions. Supervisor will collaborate in implementing and sustaining infection control practices with clerk to create a safe, sanitary, and orderly storage facility.
- Maintains communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding the level of services they receive from Nutrition Services staff. This data is relayed to the management team and/or staff whenever necessary.
- Maintains adequate staffing for daily needs reflecting cost efficiency. Recruits, hires and manages the performance of staff. Assigns staff and workload, respecting changing priorities in daily operations.
Qualifications
Four (4) years of experience in food services; two (2) years of hospital nutrition experience.
OverviewAs the Supervisor, you will directly interact with patients and visitors everyday. You will personally ensure all dining areas are safely sanitized, well-stocked, and food is appropriately prepared. You understand most guests at our facility are dining with us for a reason and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.
Every day you will serve the patients, families and staff nutritious food that promotes health and healing to the body. You will be expected to set up trays for the hospital patients, following posted menus requests from the patient room service program while taking individual likes and dislikes into account. You will also be collecting dirty trays and dishes from the patient care areas and cleaning dishes in an automatic dishwasher and returning these dishes in the proper storage areas
