Job Summary and Responsibilities
The PICC Nurse is a highly skilled and specialized Registered Nurse responsible for the assessment, insertion, maintenance, and removal of Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICCs) and Midline catheters in various patient populations (e.g., adult, pediatric, neonatal, depending on the facility). This role requires advanced knowledge of vascular anatomy, sterile technique, infection prevention, patient education, and troubleshooting related to central line access devices. The PICC Nurse works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based vascular access care.
We are offering a sign on bonus up to $25,000 to hires who meet the eligibility requirements. We also offer additional pay for participation in our clinical ladder program as well as referral bonuses, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement and relocation assistance.
Job Requirements
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC) credential preferred or commitment to obtain within[1-2 years of hire.
Minimum of 2-3 years of recent acute care nursing experience (Critical Care, ED, Medical/Surgical, Oncology).
1-2 years of direct PICC insertion experience utilizing ultrasound guidance strongly preferred. New graduates of a dedicated PICC training program may be considered.
