The posted compensation range of $33.11 - $49.25 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Laboratory Point of Care Coordinator, you will lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive point-of-care testing (POCT) programs, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Every day you will oversee the full lifecycle of POCT devices, from validation and maintenance to quality control. You will serve as the primary resource for all POCT activities, providing training and competency assessment for clinical staff, and ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. You will also monitor performance, identify improvements, and collaborate with clinical departments to optimize POCT integration.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong clinical laboratory background with POCT expertise, understand regulatory requirements, and demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and teaching skills.
- Maintains routine daily operation of point of care functions, including but not limited to: production and dissemination of various reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to hospital leadership; verification of report accuracy and completeness is essential. May train key operators to assist in this effort.
- Identifies and, if unable to resolve, reports & collaborates with the CSH support to resolve POC issues.
- Maintains all POC support tickets (submission, validation, notification of resolution) for the Laboratory team.
- Representative on projects impacting the POC during the design, implementation and maintenance phases
- Responsible for POC equipment and oversight of maintenance.
- Ensures POC ongoing compliance with regulatory agencies.

- Minimum 2 years POC Coordinator experience in an Acute Care setting and
