Endoscopy Technician
The posted compensation range of $15.88 - $21.83 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
Consistently responds to departmental and inter-departmental needs in a prompt, accurate, clear and precise manner.
Consistently informs appropriate individuals about problems involving equipment, supplies, scopes, accessories, etc.
Maintains accurate records of care and maintenance of scopes and scope washers and reports repairs to manager.
Consistently inspects the integrity of scopes, leak tests, prewashes, flushes, processes.
Consistently processes, checks, and labels scope cycles in a timely, accurate and legible manner with minimal assistance.
Understands and practices aseptic principles; corrects any observed violations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED Required
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant course is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Certification as a GI Technical Specialist from the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) preffered.
- CPR Certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of hire
