The posted compensation range of $15.00 - $20.63 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinic Registration Representative, you will provide crucial clerical support for our professional caregivers by expertly managing all functions related to patient registration.
Every day you will meticulously handle registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections. You will also be responsible for accurate data input and record keeping, ensuring the integrity of patient information and financial transactions, while meticulously adhering to all credit card handling processes due to potential access to sensitive third-party credit card information.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational and clerical skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with financial regulations. Your ability to accurately manage complex administrative tasks will directly support seamless patient care and operational efficiency.
- Able to accurately perform the assigned work without error. Expected to understand patient health insurance providers and scheduling protocol for physicians and APNs.
- Able to work through large volume reports, communicate to hospital staff, clinic staff and patients, and assist with answering the phone or helping a patient in the office while maintaining accuracy and complete tasks. Able to schedule clinic appointments per protocol for different physician and departments.
- Verifies all insurance
- Obtains referrals from primary care offices for insurance that require them
- Greets and signs for any supplies or packages delivered to clinic
- Exhibits ability to think through the scheduling process and appropriately schedule hospital and clinic procedures/appointments. Understands where to direct patient questions when answering the phone and can successfully hand off to other team members when appropriate. Identifies problems and presents to Supervisor if unable to resolve.
Job Requirements
Education: High School diploma or general education degree.
Experience: 1 year experience in medical office preferred.
