The posted compensation range of $24.03 - $32.32 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The LPN utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) in a supervised, systematic approach to the direct and indirect care of patients and their families.
- The LPN is expected to incorporate and demonstrate the message of our philosophy and mission in daily performance of duties.
- The LPN assumes responsibility and is accountable for actions taken independently and delegated by supervisors in the delivery of patient care.
- Responsible for assisting providers with patient care, clerical, environmental and organizational tasks such as chart management.
- Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the hospital services.
- Conveys a positive image of the hospital.
- May be assigned to specific medical specialist to help with patient care related to that specialty.
- The LPN serves in a multidisciplinary capacity providing general services to a wide variety of populations including pediatric, medical, surgical, ambulatory, orthopedic, geriatric, and women's health.
- Checks schedules and organizes patient flow.
- Accompanies patients to the exam room and updates electronic medical.
- Prepares patients for exams/procedures.
- Assists/performs medication administration, dressings and collecting of lab specimens as instructed.
- Relays information regarding follow-up care and return visit to patients and families.
- Schedules tests and procedures as directed.
- Obtains lab/x-ray reports, hospital records, referral information as indicated.
- Completes forms and requisitions as needed.
- Sets up, cleans and restocks exam and treatment rooms as directed.
- Respects/promotes patient rights.
- Follows all rooming standards per policy and protocol.
Job Requirements
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Licensed in the State of Minnesota
BLS
Preferred
EPIC EMR experience
LPN experience
